Both traditional classroom teachers and one-on-one tutors need to plan their lessons. However, the key difference lies in the scope and the level of customization of the planning.

This is the uphill battle I encountered on my journey from transitioning from a classroom teacher to an online tutor. Online tutors don’t get the same advantages classroom teachers get from being part of a physical school.

Successfully setting up my virtual classroom for online tutoring required more than just teaching. It involved tackling numerous tasks like technology setup, administrative responsibilities, and most importantly, the selection and adaptation of a suitable curriculum tailored to individual student needs.

What initially seemed like a temporary solution in the face of uncertainty, evolved into something far more meaningful. It became a transformative journey that reshaped my approach to education, molding me into a different kind of teacher.
